McGovern School - 1st and 2nd Grades
First and Second Graders at McGovern School have a 45 minute art class each week with their art teacher, Mrs. Moyer. The students are introduced to the basic elements and principles or art, as well as some of the great artists and their works. Instruction is provided in a variety of techniques and materials and students are encouraged to experiment and express their creativity. Even art works from the same lesson showcase the diversity and creative thinking of our students. Some projects are extensions of academic lessons.
Many creative projects are also developed in the classroom.
