Mrs. Brown’s 5th grade science classes are studying Plate Techtonics.  Mrs. Brown and the Science-Math coach came up with this hands-on activity.  Students, in groups of three, designed paper structures to withstand the P forces, S forces and surface forces of earthquakes.  The earthquake-proof designs were then tested by putting the structures onto a skateboard!
